The Citroen C3 has been a long time coming. The C3 will be Citroen's first mass-market product for India and it will be made here in India as well. This should mean that the Citroen C3 India price will be competitive when compared to rivals like the Tata Punch and the Nissan Magnite.
The Citroen C3 design is quite funky with orange inserts that contrast well with the launch colour of Polar White. There is the traditional Citroen chevron on the front, which flows on either side into the split design of the DRL and headlights. The side profile gets thick plastic cladding and the Citroen C3 rear design is kept rather clean with the Citroen badge sitting in the centre and subtle C3 badging.
The Citroen C3
interiors are also funky and youthful and get the same orange inserts seen on
the outside, though it is unclear if customers will get an option to change
this colour or remove it altogether. Citroen
C3 features will include a 10-inch infotainment system with support for
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and an integrated phone holder, manual air
conditioning, manual mirror adjustment, dual airbags, ABS, EBD and more.
In terms of powertrains, the Citroen C3 engine will likely be a 1.2-litre petrol, in naturally-aspirated or turbocharged guise with both manual and automatic gearbox options.
Of course, the most important factor for the Citroen C3 India success will be price, and we expect the C3 price to range between Rs 5.5-10 lakh depending on the variants. Expect Citroen showrooms in India to also be increased in number as we get closer to the Citroen C3 launch date which is expected to be in the first half of 2022, perhaps in the month of March.
