Tata Nexon –

 

The Tata Nexon is the highest-selling product made by the indigenous carmaker Tata Motors. Its sales figures are unstoppable, even if it's an EV iteration. This five-seater mini-SUV comes with two turbocharged engine options, both petrol and diesel. There is a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol which is capable of producing 120PS and 170Nm of torque, followed by a 1.5-litre diesel unit that churns out 110PS and 260Nm of torque. 

As for transmission options, there is a standard six-speed manual and an AMT unit. Moreover, the Tata Nexon's mileage ranges between 16.3 kmpl and 22 kmpl (ARAI-claimed).

The Nexon's on-road price starts at Rs 8.60 lakh for the base model, the XE, and goes up to Rs 16.65 lakh for the top-most variant, the XZA Plus P Jet Edition AMT Diesel.

Tata Harrier –

 

This mid-size SUV has a five-seat configuration and takes on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Hector, Jeep Compass, and the Mahindra XUV700, to name a few. 

The available engine option on the Harrier includes a 2-litre diesel engine that churns out 168bhp and 350Nm of torque, paired with a standard six-speed manual and an optional six-speed torque converter gearbox. The Tata Harrier's mileage is between 14.6 kmpl to 16.3 kmpl (ARAI-claimed). 

 

The Harrier's on-road price starts at 17.51 lakh for the base variant, the XE, and goes up to Rs 26.55 lakh for the top-most variant, the XZA Plus Jet Edition AT. 

 

Tata Nexon EV –

 

Tata Motors' EV portfolio has been dominating the Indian EV market lately. The Nexon EV is an important product for the indigenous carmaker because it's a dominator in its segment. In the past few months, the Nexon EV has received several variants which comprise different battery packs with a better range. However, the entry-level trim of the Tata Nexon EV boasts a 32kWh lithium-ion battery pack that produces 129PS and 245Nm of torque. It has an ARAI-claimed range of 312km.

The Nexon EV's on-road price starts at Rs 15.94 lakh for the base model, the XM, which goes up to Rs 18.54 lakh for the top-most variant, the XZ Plus Lux Jet Edition.

 Tata Blackbird Features

Tata might go all out with this one in terms of features and offer a panoramic sunroof, cruise control, a large touchscreen infotainment system, with wireless AppleCarPlay and Android Auto complemented by a new surround system, ambient lighting and a multi-function steering wheel.

The Tata Blackbird is the carmaker’s upcoming mid-size SUV that will be positioned between the Nexon and the Harrier in the line-up. It will be 4.3m long and is expected to be available in the Indian market by 2023.

The Tata Blackbird will follow the design language of its elder sibling, the Harrier, so be ready for a split headlight set-up with LED daytime running lights on the top and the headlights placed at the bottom of the bumper. A new alloy wheel design is expected for the Blackbird to keep the design a little fresh and new despite the inspiration from its siblings. 

 

Tata Blackbird Powertrain

Although Tata is very tight-lipped about the SUV’s mechanics, the Tata Blackbird is expected to be offered with two engine options – A 1.2-litre turbo petrol unit and a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel mill. It is expected that the petrol will produce 129 bhp and 185 Nm of peak torque, the diesel engine will churn 118 bhp and 270Nm of peak torque. A 6-speed manual gearbox will be offered with both engines while an automatic is unconfirmed.

Tata Motors, the Indian car manufacturer, is prospering in the passenger vehicle segment. Not long ago, the Indian automobile saw several cars launched by the carmaker. Last year, in October 2021, Tata Motors introduced the Tata Punch. Since its launch, the Tata Punch has enjoyed a fair bit of success on the market. The Punch has received a positive response from users for its practicality, looks, and off-road abilities, boasting a ground clearance of 187mm. The Tata Punch's ground clearance is just 3mm lower than the Hyundai Creta's 180mm.

This feature detects the traction difference between the front wheels, which then applies the brakes to the wheel, getting less traction and sending power to the other wheel. Tata Motors Giving the Safari, Harrier, Nexon and Punch Special Kaziranga Editions

 After Tata's Dark and Gold Editions, as well as a few model-specific special editions, it is clear that the manufacturer likes giving its offerings special variants. These are usually well-received by fans as well. And now they have something to look forward to with the upcoming Kaziranga Editions. Tata Motors unveiled the new Kaziranga Edition of the Tata Punch with IPL 2022, being its official sponsor for 2022 and 2023. About the Kaziranga Edition

Though details about the Kaziranga Editions of the Tata SUVs are yet to be revealed, a few details are currently known. First of all, Tata intends to auction the newly revealed Tata Punch Kaziranga Edition, the proceeds from which will be directed towards preserving the Kaziranga National Park in Assam, home of the one-horn rhinoceros. The one-horned rhinoceros also happens to be the main logo of the Kaziranga Edition SUVs. 

In the Tata Punch Kaziranga Edition...

First of all, the most iconic and setting apart feature of the special edition Tata Punch is its paint scheme. The Tata Punch Kaziranga Edition gets a Meteor Bronze colour, as an ode to the colour of the terrain at Kaziranga. The special edition will be based on Tata Punch's top-end Creative variant. Hence, expect top of the line features in the car such as LED DRLs and 16-inch alloys.

Besides the paint scheme, the Kaziranga Edition Punch also gets a one-horned Rhino logo on the rear windshield and glovebox, as well as unqiue Kaziranga scuff plates. Other than that, the car looks mostly the same as its standard variant. 

Powering the Tata Punch Kaziranga Edition is the same 1.2-litre Revotron three-cylinder engine putting down 85PS of power. However, the car does get changes and highlights unique to the Kaziranga Edition for its interior. These unique features are yet to be revealed. 

Tata Motors will be releasing Kaziranga Editions of the Nexon, Harrier and Safari as well. These too will be powered by the same engines they already have, and will most likely be based on their top-of-the-line trims. 

Though all Kaziranga Edition SUVs will likely be sporting the same Meteor Bronze paint scheme in line with the Punch special edition, along with sporting one-horn rhino logos.
