Kia Carens Variants
The Kia
Carens will get five variants. The variants are called Premium, Prestige,
Prestige Plus, Luxury and Luxury Plus. While the Carens will be offered with a seven-seater configuration as
standard, a six-seater option will be available in the top variant, Luxury
Plus.
On the outside, the Kia Carens looks nothing like its cousin, the Seltos. While it does get underpinnings sourced from the compact
SUV, its exterior and interior are anything but.
The Kia
Carens features an MPV design and modern looks. The Carens gets SUV inspired looks for a muscular appeal. On the
exterior feature front, it gets all the modern-day bells and whistles, such as
machined alloy wheels, LED headlights, tail lights, DRLs and fog lamps.
On the interior, the Carens gets a fair share of class-leading features such as ambient
lighting with 64 colour options, a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, passenger
air purifier controls, and passenger and third-row air vents, to name a few.
Kia Carens Engine Specifications
The upcoming
Carens will get the same engine specifications as the Kia Seltos. This means that the Carens will be powered by a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol, a
1.5-litre diesel and a 1.4-litre turbo petrol unit. Transmission options will
include a six-speed manual transmission and several automatic options such as a
torque converter and a seven-speed DCT.
Kia Carens Expected Pricing
The Kia
Carens can compete against the likes of the Maruti Suzuki XL6 and lower
variants of the Hyundai Alcazar and Mahindra XUV700. The expected pricing
for the upcoming Kia Carens is ₹11 lakhs to ₹20 lakhs (Ex-Showroom). For more
