The Virtus comes loaded with features such as a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected car tech, auto climate control, ventilated front seats, electric sunroof, and more, and aims to renew the mid-sized sedan segment that has lately been lagging behind the competition-packed mid-sized SUV segment. The upcoming car Volkswagen Virtus is expected to be priced around the ₹9-12 lakhs (Ex-Showroom) mark.

2022 Toyota Glanza

The Toyota Glanza is Toyota's hatchback offering in the Indian market. The car is essentially a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno since it was a part of the new Toyota-Suzuki partnership. And much like its Maruti Suzuki cousin, the Glanza is slated to receive a comprehensive facelift and certain updates as well. The Glanza is set to receive a comprehensive list of updates to its exterior as well as interior. Expect changes to the front end and the rear bumper. Other changes could include updates to the headlights and taillights and new alloy wheels.

Cabin updates include a new touchscreen infotainment system, an updated steering wheel and more. The Toyota Glanza is powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.2-litre mild-hybrid engines that do duties in the Baleno. The upcoming car is expected to be priced starting at ₹6-7 lakhs (Ex-Showroom).

Volkswagen Tiguan All-space

Volkswagen globally unveiled the seven-seater version of its flagship SUV, the Tiguan Allspace's facelift. Its updates are similar to those recently given to the five-seater Tiguan.

The updated Tiguan Allspace features new redesigned bumpers with a new front grille, sharper matrix LED headlamps, LED DRLs integrated, sweeping turn indicators, reworked tail lights, alloy wheels and more.

Powering the global Tiguan Allspace facelift is a 150PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 190PS 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. The Allspace also gets a 2.0-litre diesel engine, and all three units are married to a seven-speed DSG (dual-clutch automatic) gearbox.

The Indian version will likely continue with its existing 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. The updated Tiguan Allspace is expected to be launched in India in mid-2022 and will demand a premium over the current variant's price of ₹34.20 lakh (Ex-Showroom).

Toyota Hilux

The Toyota Hilux is a luxury pick-up truck set to launch in India and compete against the likes of Isuzu's V-Cross. The pick-up SUV is based on the same underpinnings as the Toyota Fortuner SUV in India. The design of the Hilux, based on what Toyota has revealed so far, is girthy and proper SUV-like. It gets a hexagonal grille on the front end, has thick chrome features and is in tune with its dual purposes with thick skid plates and cladding. To keep it looking modern for 2022, the pick-up will feature projector headlights with integrated DRLs among other features. Powering the Toyota Hilux is most likely an engine similar to what is offered in the Toyota Fortuner. Expected is a 2.8-litre diesel engine with transmission duties being provided by a six-speed manual transmission and an optional automatic transmission as well as an all-wheel-drive (4WD) option. The Toyota Hilux is slated to launch in mid-2022 and will be priced at around ₹30-35 lakhs (Ex-Showroom).
