Citroen C3

Citroen's C3 has been spotted in and around India undergoing testing over the past few months. Information is surfacing that its launch may likely happen this year. If it does, the Citroen C3 will be the French automaker's second offering in the country after the C5 Aircross full-size SUV. 

The Citroen C3 is a sub-four metre SUV style hatchback or crosshatch by the French brand. It's meant to compete in the booming compact SUV market in the country. It will go up against the likes of the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and Tata Punch. The Citroen C3 will likely be powered by a 1.2-litre motor with both a naturally aspirated and a higher-powered turbocharged variant. The expected price is around ₹5.50 lakhs (Ex-Showroom) for the upcoming car, Citroen C3 in India.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto

Maruti Suzuki has quite a few launches planned for 2022. Among which is an update to the brand's longest-running budget hatch, the Alto. Information suggests that the new upcoming car will be based on an all-new platform that underpins Maruti Suzuki's other offerings, the lightweight HEARTECT platform. It is also suggested that the new Alto will be all new in terms of exterior design, interior cabin and updated with modern offerings. The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto upcoming car's price maybe around the ₹3.5 lakh (Ex-Showroom) mark or above.

 

Tata HBX

The Tata HBX is a micro-SUV from the Tata stable, concepts for which were first seen in 2020. The car will compete with the likes of the Ignis and Mahindra's KUV100 and is slated to be based on Tata's ALFA platform that underpins the Altroz and Punch. The upcoming car's price will likely be priced around the ₹5-6 lakhs (Ex-Showroom) mark.

 

Hyundai AX 

Reports suggest that Hyundai is planning a micro SUV for India as well. This micro SUV will rival the likes of Tata's HBX and will likely be based on the new Santro's underpinnings. The new SUV is slated to be the most affordable and smallest SUV from the Korean automaker's stable. The AX will likely be powered by a 1.0-litre motor. The upcoming car price will likely be around the ₹4-6 lakhs (Ex-Showroom) mark.
