Tata Tiago i-CNG Specifications -
The Tata Tiago i-CNG is doing pretty well in the Indian CNG
segment. The CNG variant should have good build quality because the non-CNG
variant of the Tata Tiago's safety rating is 4-star, awarded by the Global
NCAP. So, it can be safe to say that the Tata Tiago i-CNG's safety rating won't
be disappointing.
But that will only come with time. However, at the same time,
several Tata cars will
be coming into their CNG domain.
In the CNG competition, Maruti Suzuki has been a dominating
player. And to compete with the brand, several mainstream carmakers have made a
foray into the CNG segment. Those new players majorly include Tata Motors and
Hyundai India.
So, if you want to know the tit-bits about Tata's first CNG car,
this article might come into use. Let's begin then!
The Tata Tiago specifications include a 1.2-litre i-CNG that
generates 72bhp@6000rpm of power and 95nm@3500rpm of torque. It is exclusively
available with a five-speed manual transmission. The Tata Tiago has a
front-wheel-drivetrain.
The Tata Tiago CNG ARAI-claimed mileage is 26.49 km/kg.
As for the CNG fuel tank capacity, the Tiago CNG has a 60kg
tank.
Interestingly, Tata Motors claims that the Tata Tiago i-CNG has
the most powerful engine in its class to date. And that is true.
Moreover, if you want to know the drivability of the CNG-powered
hatchback, refer to this Tata Tiago CNG review done

Tata Tiago i-CNG: Features -
The Tata Tiago is a feature-loaded hatchback and boasts several
segment-first features. For instance, it gets auto HVAC, auto headlamps with
DRLs, and rain-sensing wipers, to name a few. Apart from that, the driver can
also switch on the car using the CNG mode. That means it doesn't need petrol to
switch on the engine, unlike other CNG cars. Apart from that, it also gets leak
detection technology, which tells the driver to switch from CNG mode to petrol
mode. That is an important safety feature.
Then there is another useful safety feature. So, if the fuel lid
is mistakenly left open, the car will detect it, and the engine won't
start.

Suzuki Celerio/WagonR CNG and the Hyundai Santro CNG.
Besides that, the Tata Tiago i-CNG variants include XE, XM, XT,
and XZ.
As for the pricing, the Tata Tiago CNG on-road Delhi price
starts at Rs 7.17 lakh for the XE CNG variant and goes up to Rs 8.94 lakh for
