HONDA AMAZE REVIEW | Amaze Review : WHAT’S NEW?

 Honda Amaze Review -

The Honda Amaze made its debut in India in 2013 and it has been a successful compact sedan till now. The ongoing, second generation was launched in 2018. Fast-forwarding to 2021, the Honda Amaze received a few cosmetic changes. It has three variants on offer – ‘E’, ‘S’, and ‘VX’.
So, what does it have to offer? Let’s read the Honda Amaze review.

ON THE OUTSIDE

Depending upon the variant chosen, the Honda Amaze exterior features a redesigned front chrome grille with chrome garnish, LED headlamps and LED taillights, and tweaked rear and front bumpers, to name a few. Standard across all the variants are front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. The lower variants, like ‘E’ and ‘S’, run on a tyre profile of 175/65 R14 steel wheels, whereas the higher variants run on 175/65 R15 alloy wheels. As far as the Honda Amaze’s dimensions are concerned, it measures 3995mm in length, 1695mm in width, 1498mm in height, and has a 2470mm wheelbase. The 2021 Honda Amaze has a ground clearance of 170mm. Now, let’s see whether the interior can “AMAZE” us or not. So let’s continue with the Amaze review.

ON THE INSIDE

The Honda Amaze interior features a dual-tone dashboard, fabric upholstery, rear and front power windows, and rear parking sensors as standard. Unlike the base variant ‘E’, the second base variant ‘S’ gets a stereo system. Whereas, the top variant ‘VX’ features an engine start/stop button, keyless entry, automatic climate control, power boot, remote trunk opener, power boot, cruise control, and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, among others.

UNDER THE HOOD

As far as the Honda Amaze specifications are concerned, it offers a 1.2litre i-VTEC (petrol) engine which produces 88bhp at 6000rpm and 110Nm of torque at 4800rpm. The 1.5litre i-DTEC (diesel) turbocharged engine, on the other hand, produces 98bhp at 3600rpm and 200Nm of torque at 1750rpm. Unlike the diesel-manual combination, the diesel-CVT produces 80bhp at 3600rpm and 160Nm of torque at 1750rpm.

The Honda Amaze transmission includes a 5-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed CVT.
